Music For String Quartet

On Friday June 13th, at 7:30, Chamber Music at Richmond Beach will present Seattle Symphony musicians, Artur Girsky, Natasha Bazhanov, Julie Whitton and Rowena Hammill as they play string quartets. Program will include Mendelssohn Op. 44 No. 1, Beethoven Op. 74 and Shostakovich Quartet No. 11. Tickets available at Brown Paper Tickets or at the door!  Proceeds from this concert will benefit New Beginnings, an organization that provides support to those that are affected by domestic abuse.

The Three Violin Sonatas of Johannes Brahms- Elisa Barston

On Friday, April 25th, we will be presenting violinist Elisa Barston as she plays the three Violin Sonatas of Brahms with pianist Jessica Choe.  Also on the program is a shorter work, Sonatensatz also by Brahms.
Elisa Barston is the second violin principal of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra.  As a soloist and chamber musician, she has toured extensively throughout the US, Europe and Asia, performing with such orchestras as Chicago Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, St. Louis, amongst others.
Elisa Barston and Jessica Choe will be appearing on 98.1 KING FM on the Northwest Focus Live show on Friday, April 18th at 8 pm.
Tickets for the concert are $20 and are available on Brown Paper Tickets and at the door.
Proceeds from this concert will benefit Compass Housing Alliance.

Virtuosic Violin - Ysaye Sonatas

Come hear members of Seattle Symphony and PNB Orchestra in the complete Ysaye Violin Sonatas. Eugene Ysaye's six sonatas are amongst the most virtuosic pieces written for solo violin.  Also on the program will be two sonatas by Charles Ives.  Performers include Xiao Po Fei, Emma McGrath, John Weller, Joy Rhee, Artur Girsky, Evan Anderson, Natasha Bazhanov and pianist Jessica Choe.

The concert will take place on Sunday March 16th at 3 PM.  Richmond Beach Congregational Church.  Tickets are $20 and will available at the door and on brown paper tickets.  Proceeds from this concert will benefit transitional housing for the homeless in th Seattle area.

Tune into 98.1 KING FM during the week of March 10th at 8 to hear some of these pieces being featured on Northwest Focus!

Demarre McGill, Flute and Jessica Choe, Piano

Our second concert of the season will feature flutist Demarre McGill and pianist Jessica Choe.  Principal flutist of Seattle Symphony Orchestra (currently on leave to serve as principal flute of Dallas Symphony Orchestra), Demarre has appeared as soloist with Philadelphia, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, San Diego orchestras and as part of Chamber Music at Lincoln Center.  He has also appeared on NBC Nightly News, Today Show and Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.
The program will include works by Poulenc, Prokofiev and Widor.  Tickets are $20 on brown paper tickets and at door.  The proceeds from th concert will benefit Caring Bridge, a homeless shelter for teens in Seattle.

Efe Baltacigil, Cello Jessica Choe, Piano

Our first concert of the season will be on Friday November 8th at 7:30 PM and will feature the Seattle Symphony's principal cellist Efe Baltacigil and pianist Jessica Choe.  They'll be playing works by Shostakovich and Bach.  Tickets are $20 and are available on Brown Paper Tickets and at the door.  The proceeds from this concert will benefit Music4Life.

Last Concert of the Season!

On Friday June 28th, we'll be presenting the last concert of the season!  The program for this concert will include Dvorak Terzetto, Brahms Viola Sonata No.1 in f minor and Brahms String Quintet No.2 in G Major.  Cordula Merks, Eugene Bazhanov, and Natasha Bazhanov, Violin   Allison Kanter Farkas, and Artur Girsky, Viola   Meeka Quan DiLorenzo, Cello   Jessica Choe, Piano   
This concert will benefit the Loaves and Fishes Project - a feeding program for several primary schools in South Africa.  Tickets are available on Brown Paper Tickets and at the door.
