Barston Quartet at CMRB

The Barston Quartet, comprised of Elisa Barston, Mikhail Shmidt, Mara Gearman and Walter Gray (all members of Seattle Symphony Orchestra) will be giving an afternoon concert on April 17th, 2016.  The program will include Beethoven Quartets Op. 59 No.3 and Op. 132.  More details to follow!

Sempre Sisters

The amazing Sempre Sisters (Charlotte and Olivia Marckx) will be playing at RBCC on January 8th. Their program will include Beethoven's Spring Sonata and Brahms F Major Cello Sonata, both pieces with the pianist Jessica Choe.  The sisters will also be playing some fiddle tunes together.

Olivia and Charlotte Marckx (16 and 13 years old!) are both Jack Kent Cooke Young Artists, and have appeared on NPR's From the Top.  They have soloed with orchestras, appear regularly on 98.1 KING FM and both have won the KING FM Young Artist Award.  Whew!

Our opening concert for 2015-16 season will take place on September 20 (Sunday) at 2 PM at Richmond Beach Congregational Church!  This concert will feature musicians from Seattle Symphony Orchestra including Mae Lin, Xiao-Po Fei, Eric Han, Sayaka Kokubo, Artur Girsky and Jessica Choe. The program will include Mendelssohn String Quartet No. 6 Op. 80 as well as the Shostakovich Piano Trio No.2.
For this concert, we will be taking suggested donation of $20 per person at the door.  Please arrive early!  Proceeds will go to Mary's Place, a homeless shelter for women and children.

Cordula Merks, Efe Baltacigil and Jessica Choe

Our last concert of the season will be on June 19th at 7:30.  We will be presenting the violinist Cordula Merks (assistant concertmaster of Seattle Symphony), Efe Baltacigil (cellist of Seattle Symphony) and the pianist Jessica Choe.  The three musicians last played at Chamber Music at Richmond Beach 2 seasons ago!
The program will include Chausson's Poeme, Janacek's Pohadka and the Dumky Trio by Dvorak.  The proceeds from this concert will go to United We Stand Encampment.

Clarinettist Sean Osborn and Pianist Jessica Choe

Chamber Music at Richmond Beach will be presenting the clarinettist Sean Osborn and pianist Jessica Choe as they play works written for the two instruments by Hoffmeister, Poulenc, Horwitz, Osborn and Karen Thomas.  The concert will take place on Friday May 22nd at 7:30 at Richmond Beach Congregational Church United Church of Christ. 
Sean Osborn, a renowned clarinettist based in the Seattle area, was a long time member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in New York City.  He has performed as guest principal with the New York Philharmonic, Pittsburgh Symphony, Seattle Symphony amongst others.  As a composer, he has written Symphonies and chamber pieces for various instruments.

Beethoven Marathon!

We'll be presenting the complete works for cello and piano by Ludwig van Beethoven on Saturday January 31st, 2015 starting at 1 PM.  This concert will include the 5 sonatas and 3 sets of variations for the cello and piano and will feature the cellists of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra.

Cellists include Efe Baltacigil, Roberta Downey, David Sabee, Joy Payton-Stevens, Walter Gray, Eric Han and Meeka Quan-DiLorenzo.

Pianists include Jessica Choe, Jamie Namkung, Cristina Valdes, Christina Siemens and Joseph Adam.

All proceeds from this concert will go to the Daniel Gilbert Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Spencer Myer

We are so lucky and excited to present the world renowned pianist Spencer Myer in recital.  He is hailed as "one of the greatest pianists of his generation".  He will be on a mini tour of the Pacific Northwest as he plays with Bellingham's Whatcom Symphony and appears on 98.1 KING FM.
On his recital at Richmond Beach, he will be playing Schumann's great Fantasie, Op.17 as well as pieces by Bolcom and Scarlatti.  Please visit his website-
